I've set up a custom object with an approval process and have a question around the best way to handle an approver being Out Of Office. The issue I face is most approvals go to a manager who leads a global team. If they are out of office the process grinds to a halt.
I've set up Delegated admin, but my understanding is that the delegated admin gets all the notifications that the regular approver recieves. Does anyone know of a better solution? Ideally I want a way the manager makes themself Out Of Office their "second in command" can either approve or re-assign the approval, is this possible?

you can have either a delegated approver or create a step whereby you have more than one person who can approve and base it one only one approval needed
