Custom push notifications for the mobile app

Question

I'd like to create custom push notifications that trigger based on events that I define.  Is this possible, or am I limited only to the default list of push notification conditions on the mobile app notification settings page?

Hi Brian   Custom push notifications can only be done using custom apex code.  There's no point and click functionaity that will allow to create custom ones.   Many Thanks   Janaid
