Our internal sales teams have weekly meetings to discuss the status of a large strategic accounts.  These conversations can touch upon many accounts, contacts, opportunities, etc. as they run through the status of where things are at and what needs to be done to keep things moving forward.  They see a huge need for this intelligence to be stored within Salesforce but it doesn't just relate to one particular account/contact/opportunity.  Typically they discuss multiple large opportunities and projects for a given account at the same time.  They would like to document this within Salesforce in real time so those that can't attend the meeting are immediately able to understand what occurred.  I haven't been able to find a solution for this with standard Salesforce functionality so wasn't sure if we need to look at a more collaborative 3rd party solution?

I would say build a custom object for these meetings. Customize it to have fields that capture all the different areas discussed in the meetings (I'm sure a lot of this will just be text fields under different headers probably!) and then build relationships so that a meeting record can be linked back to many different accounts, contacts, ops, etc. (junction object).

We do something similar for some internal meeting reports, except it only links back to a single account and not multiple (which is an easy adjustment to make anyway).
