I have a custom formula field that is summing up a bunch of other fields that I want to display on user dashboards as a metric number rather than in a chart, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
In-depth-(ish) explanation:
I have a field called Estimated commission that is summing up a Sales Rep's estimated commission based on a number of other fields. The number in the Estimated Commission field is what I want to display as a metric number on their dashboards, rather than having to resort to using a chart of some kind. I'm just not sure how to do this.
If anyone has any thoughts or advice, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you!

Sorry to disappoint but you cannot add a summary formula to the a metric Dashboard. You will need to consider other chart types for the same.
