Hi Sherrie - I think what you want is a merge field in your template. I'll assume that AKA is an Account custom field. So you would type in {!Account.AKA} or whatever the name of the field is into the template to display the value. Check out this resource page (https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewHelpDoc?id=merge_fields_email_templates.htm) for more examples and details.
