Using translation workbench to show 2 different languages on 1 record?

Hi, I've been asked to investigate whether we can show 2 different laguages on one record (eg. see the value in English on the left side and the corresponding 'automatic' translated value in French on the right side). We can take care of the translations in translation workbench, but I understand these translations are only shown based on the user's language settings. In this example, the user's language settings remain unchanged but based on the English chosen value (eg. Industry = 'Public Sector', the French equivalent (industry= 'secteur Public' is shown in the same record. 

 

Is this something we could achieve using translation workbench is some way? Any other suggestions are also very much appreciated.

    That is a great explanation - but unfortunately, the Translation Workbench doesn't support the kind of translation you are looking for. It is tied to the user's language, not a value on the record.
