I have created a validation rule for Owner Phone number, it is working correctly but it is also showing the error in the page layout where the owner phone number field is not present. How to solve this problem?

    Do you have Record type created for that appropriate object? If yes,You could exclude the Record type in the VR criteria as :-

     

    AND(

     

    Record typeId<>"XXXXXXXXXXXXXX",

     

    Your criteria)
