Hi all,

We use an email template for sending out quotes, but we can modify it (text wise only). We use it so it has our letterhead and other images already attached.

The problem is, when we modify the text, the email in Salesforce looks just like the template. The email I'm referring to is the one saved to Salesforce under Quote. However, the 'click here to view HTLM version' link shows the modified text and is actually what is sent.

We've noticed that this affects more than opportunities, if we modify and send an email from any object (cases, accounts, etc) the saved email in Salesforce doesn't show what was actually sent except for the HTML version.

I'm guessing this is because we are modifying the HTML version so it's showing an accurate change. But how can we modify the text version at the same time so that both versions look the same?

    Hi Ashley,

Thank you for the response, You are correct, we do not have a function that automatically edits the text template upon editing the HTML template as it might be troublesome for some users.

This is a great idea to post to the IdeaExchange to see if we can get it added to the product. If you want people to vote your idea up come back to this thread and leave a comment with a link to the idea so that other users who have the same challenge can easily find it.

I hope the information above helps!
