In our organisation we have been using Email-To-Case and noticed we are up to 1.0 GB of storage space (Data Storage) for the Email Messages record type.
Wanted to find out how we can clean this up and reclaim the space taken?
Our system shows Email messages - 26,955 records using 1.0 GB storage.
I have deleted all of the auto response case emails that were setup but this does not seem to have done much at all.
How can we identify what can be deleted/archived from closed cases?
Please help.
Thanks,
Dean

I think your best option now is to just remove those excess emails from closed cases using Data Loader or the like and store them somewhere people can get to them if needed. And for future Emails I would recommend that you turn off the option called "Save Headers" on your Email To Case. Headers take up about 75% of the space that email occupies, and they're usually not very useful. That option is on by default; if you turn it off you probably will save lots of space in future emails.
