Import Wizard and Data Loader are both triggering an error of duplicate records, but they are NOT duplicates. How do I work around this?

I've tried quite a few times, and it keeps triggering the same error messages of duplicates, but the records are not duplicates.  I'm trying to create NEW records, not update old.

    It sounds like you have Duplicate Management rules in place that are detecting the dupe (or you have an installed package that is checking for Dupes).  Something about the data that you are trying to import is being seen as a duplicate of records you already have. You will need to review your duplicate detection rules and update them if they are not right for your business.
