I need some help with a requirement, view below.
I have a Lookup relationship from the DocuSign Status object to the Recommendation custom object
On the DocuSign Status object I have a Text(56) field dsfs__Envelope_Status__c . If the dsfs__Envelope_Status__c = “Completed” , I would like the value “Completed” to be automatically entered in the Text Area(255) field Docusign_Status__c located in the Recommendation object.
I tried various methods (formula field on Recommendations, Workflow, and Process builder) , however I could not find a solution to this requirement.
If anyone has a solution, I would appreciate your help on this.

Since it is on the DS Status, then there can be many DS Statuses to a single Recommendation. You are going to need to put the Process Builder on DS Status object to update the recomendation Docusign_Status__c field.
If you put the lookup on the recommendation, then you can use a formula, but you want to make sure that Recomendations can only have one DS Status.
You might run into an issue using automation on managed package objects, just a heads up.
