I have created a field that is controlled by another field. I though when one field was udpated the other automatically would but it didn't work

I am the admin for my organization. I am using profressional addtion. One field is a checked box called MH Action (Parent). I want the other field Budget Contributor Account (Child) to read 2016 if the MH Action is checked or read None if it is not checked.
