I have created a report with tasks linked to cases however only the System Administrators can run these. Where abouts are task permissions embedded?

Yep, it is set up to be based on the hierarchy permissions. There are 3 user profiles creating tasks relating to Cases; all with differend access permissions. Is there a way to allow access to all user's tasks within Cases only without allowing access to Projects etc or is this one of those "loopholes"?
