I recently created a dashboard component based on a report which is summarized by a custom formula field (Delivery mode).
The component displays data correctly BUT when I click on a slice (e.g On premise, 23 records) in order to se the filtered report I get any data.
I've also noticed that, if I manually modify the Linked filter and use CONTAINS instead of EQUALS the report correctly displays the 23 filtered records.
Of course I cannot keep the filter so... cannot find the way to correctly display filtered report starting from the dashboard component slice.

This seems like a limitation.
I would advise you to contact support for updated information.
