We are new to using the sales force database.  When we export our mailing list from our database, we have a small percentage of contacts that are duplicates.  When we go back and look at the database, we find that there is only one contact and one account, so we are perplexed as to what is causing this.

 

Can anyone offer some suggestions/

    hi,

     

    Are you using the Import Wizard for Accounts/Contacts for importing your data?

     

    If yes, then this is the reason, why your duplicate records are getting eliminated.

    By choosing the Contact Matching/ Account Mapping type, we actually define the criteria based on which the duplicate records should get removed.
