- if I am to delete a lead source from the picklist would this also delete it from the diffrent leads that have been assigned to this particular lead source?
and if it does, would they all be defaulted to another one? If so, which one?

When you attempt to delete a Lead Source value, you will be prompted to replace it with an existing value. This means that the deleted value will be removed from those Leads but replaced by the value you select in its place.
