Is there a way to disable the automatic logging of an email sent?

When sending an email using an email template, the action is automatically logged under Activity History.   Is there a way to disable this automatic function?

    I think disabling below setting should solve the issue, can you please check.

     

    From Setup, enter Deliver in the Quick Find box, then select Deliverability. Disable the checkbox Log activities for email recipients.
