Hello Friends! I am having some trouble getting an auto responder email to send properly. The leads are coming from Facebook via a zap, and the zap creates the prospect in pardot and adds the prospect to a list. I then have an automation rule that runs for that list setting the same actions that would normally run as completion actions for the piece of gated content that people are filling out the FB form for (send email to prospect, change prospect score, add to campaign, change a few fields). All of the automation actions work properly, except for the email. When we tested this I saw that it appeared on the first test prospect's profile as sent, but the email we used for testing never received the message. The other test prospect we used didn't even have the email as sent on it's pardot profile. Is there something I'm missing on the automation maybe? Should I turn it to real time? (This form should be low volume for now) Any help is appreciated!

Hi Michael! I build my zaps for FB the same way. I have noticed that sometimes the add to list doesn't seem to work the odd time, but not very often. I think when I looked into it in the past, it was because the person was a duplicate in the system and the other record had received the email; or the person had already run through the automation. I also added a custom field to my Pardot called FB LGF Zap and in my zap I'll put a value, such as Program A FB LGF and I'll add that to my automation rule criteria. I have my criteria be "member of the list OR that value". This typically has worked well for me. I have read about other people zapping to a pardot form handler instead. I'm thinking of exploring that idea because I like that it would appear in the Pardot activities. I have so many zaps that would need to be updated if I changed my approach, but I'm thinking I might give it a try. Just a thought. Following to see if anyone else has found an issue with sending the email with the add to list.
