Hi!  I'm looking for help with Task entry on Lightning record pages.  I've set up the Activities Lightning component with New Task global action, but have several usability issues:

1. Clicking "Add" expands the task entry layout but gives only a Save button.  What if users change their minds and want to cancel entry?  How do they collapse the fields and go back to the original state?
2. We have several more task fields than is really feasible to show on a Global Action layout.  Is there a way to move New Task creation somewhere else (maybe in the list of actions in the upper right) that would bring up the modal task dialog similar to what I get when editing the task?  And is this possible with clicks instead of code?  (We have a Lightning component from Mopsy that is similar but I can't label it and am limited to where I can put it on the layout... and since it's a managed package, it's a black box).
3. We've used Subject primarily for freeform entry (not the picklist values)... but clicking in the Subject field pops up the picklist values and is distracting.  When I tried to remove or deactivate the picklist values, I couldn't remove the last one.  Do I have to switch to a new custom field instead (including moving all our data over to that new field, updating reports, etc)?  Or is there another way?
4. I tried adding all of our fields to the Global Layout (15, I know, more than recommended...) and though they all display when I click "Add" the screen scrolls to the middle of the list so essentially scrolls past the first few fields before they are filled in.  I'm trying to convince my users to cut back on the fields, but I'm not sure if they'll cut back enough to avoid this problem...
