In Lightning Home page, there are only 2 templates to chose from (either the Salesforce default Home page or create a page from scratch). Both the templates have similar breakdown of page structure.

However record pages have multiple templates to chose from.

For example if we have to break the home page into 3 sections,we cannot do it with Home page layout.

Are there plans to provide more home page template option in future releases or if not, what would be a viable workaround for  creating a custom home page template. I believe I noticed there is a aura template component, should we use it to create our own custom template and use it for Home page.
