We are affected by a Known Issue [https://success.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p3A000000jkrUQAQ] which is still not resolved and became a biggest roadblock in order to enable Lightning. In our customization we are relying on the ability to open a new window (pop up) from a custom button using S-controls/Visualforce. The issue is in Lightning the new page displays in the same parent window when the button is clicked. We also tested after replacing the button with a link but it opens in a new tab and not in a pop up. Is there any other way to open a new pop up window in Lightning?
