I would like to set up field history tracking, however I see that it is not available in Lightning. I plan to roll out Lightning to my sales team next month. This may be a silly question, but does anyone know if field changes in Lightning would be captured in Classic if I have field history tracking set up?

Field history will be captured, but you won't be able to see it in Lightning until the Summer '17 release.
