I have a question regarding my Dev 401 certification which is being replaced by Salesforce Platform App builder1 (Platform Developer1) and Salesforce Platform App builder2 (Platform Developer2). I have successfully cleared my Salesforce Platform App builder1 transition exam and now I am Salesforce Platform App builder1 certified. I want to know If I still need to maintain my Dev 401 certification by passing all release exams. As far as I know it's going to be Obsolete and hence no longer requires any maintenance. Please suggest.

Hi @Jitendra Shukla - The Salesforce Force.com Developer credential will be recognized indefinitely, however it's not available for people to earn as a new credential. Meaning, if you have it, you should maintain it, as it's now an elite credential that no one else can get. If you fail to maintain it, you won't have the opportunity to re-earn it. Either way, you're not required to maintain it, but there are benefits in keeping it. Hope that helps!
