@* Trailhead Academy * Question: I wanted to take the maintenance exam for admin and developer today. In webassessor it says that the admin maintenance exam is a paid exam at 100$ and my dev maintenance is free. I know we have to renew every year and I passed my admin last year with spring release, so that's not really the problem. What I'm surprised about is that I took the Advanced Administrator exam at 200$ last month in january, so I expected that that would automatically renew my certs for a year! Because the full price of the advanced admin includes a year of maintenance exams normally. Could you check this out please?

Hi Jan - The higher level certification exams, like Advanced Administrator, do not automatically renew your certifications for a year. Once you earn the Administrator and/or Developer certification, you will have to pay a $100 annual fee every 3rd release exam that you register for.
