Hi,

I have been using tableau for over 5 years and for some reason, I am finding something funny happening with simple table calculations only today.

When I try to use a dimension in the colour after selecting say table across on a horizontal bar chart with a % of total calculation, the total is not coming as what it should.

Has something changed in tableau in the very recent past please?

I tried by putting things as text and the calculation comes fine, when I make it a bar chart, then things change.

Can someone guide me on where I am going wrong please? This looks very simple and we use it everyday, yet for some reason I am seeing something missing today.

I am attaching the workbook, please check the last sheet.

This issue appears to occur only with some dimensions, with other dimension it works well.

So what is it that I am missing here?

I do know what you are trying to do - the point is not necessarily to use an lod - I jsut did that to isolate the problem - which is some data is at a DATE level other data is at a level that is not date dependent and when you created your data model you effectively duplicated the data across dates - In the LOD model I just applied some year and month filtering to illustrate the problem
