Maryam O. ha fatto una domanda in #Salesforce Admin

Hi everyone! Great to connect with you all! I started my Salesforce Admin journey a couple of weeks ago. Besides following the learning pathways, I work with Claude to create case scenarios for me to practice with in playgrounds and build up a portfolio (happy to share these cases with beginners like me:)). My goal is to be part of a team supporting operations using Salesforce. I am looking for people who have been where I'm at very recently, and are already working at their first or second roles. How did you go from learning to getting hired? What has your role been like? What would you do better or differently to quickly advance?

Thank you so much to everyone in advance :)

    Hi @Maryam O.

    ,

Building scenarios in a playground is exactly the right habit. I am a few years past first-role stage, so take this as the view from the consulting side of what makes junior admins stand out.

    • Portfolio over badges. Anyone can collect badges. A short write-up of a scenario you built (the business problem, what you configured, why you chose Flow over a validation rule, etc.) tells a hiring manager far more.
    • Learn Flow properly. It is the skill that separates admins who get hired from those who stay stuck on the beginner path. Also get comfortable with reports and dashboards, since that is what ops teams actually live in.
    • Get the Admin cert, then pick up basic data skills. Data loading, cleanup and understanding the data model are daily work in most admin roles.
    • Don’t skip the business side. The best admins I see ask why a process exists before building anything.
    •  Show up in the community. Answering even simple questions here builds visibility and forces you to learn things properly.

For your first role, a smaller company or a consulting partner usually gives you broader exposure faster than a big org where you get one narrow slice. Also keep an eye on Agentforce basics now, since admins who understand it early will have an edge.
