integration from one salesforce lightning application to othe salesforce lightning application

Hi All,

   I am new to salesforce linghtning application development,

can we integrate salesforce lightning application the other lightning application or integrate salesforce lightning application to any cloud based crm applications.

    This is a very general question.  Salesforce lightning experience is more or less a look and feel change (UI), the backend core is still the same so you should still be able to integrate with other apps as you can today with Salesforce classic.
