select default article type for knowledge migration

Question

I'm trying to use the Lightning Knowledge Migration Assistant to move multiple article types into Lightning. It errors out and tells me that the default article type has to be set to "None." When I go to Knowledge Settings in Classic and try to change the default article type to "--None--" (one of the available options), it won't let me save the changes. All of the documentation I've found for doing the migration says you have to change the default article type to "None." Am I missing something here?
