Hi @Michael Chou and SFDC team,
We have a few questions regarding the FSL mobile app:
- Offline capabilities: what are the limitations (if any) of FSL and Salesforce1 for offline use? Is there a limit on what can and cannot be downloaded to a device?
- Do FSL mobile and Salesforce1 have mobile browsers built in, or will links open in system default browsers?
- Does field validation work offline? Do triggers work?
- Are there descriptions of what will and will not be in each release cycle of FSL mobile? Timeline?
- We have a situation where there will be ~30 test readings that need to be taken and recorded in individual fields at the end of a debrief of any work on a machine. These differ by machine grouping (~20). Is this best handled by Record Types? Are there restrictions?

@Taza Vercruysse asking that many questions in a single Chatter posts forces me to find ~10 mins in my day to respond. I almost never have 10 mins free. So responses are a bit delayed.
1. We will make announcements in the instructions on what is primed offline. It's based on your Assignements. I have no comments on S1, it's not a viable solution for most of our customers for Field Service.
2. It will open in the default browser
3. Field Validation and Triggers do not work until you synchronize with the server.
4. I will likely not post them here but will talk to them at Dreamforce and on webinars occasionally for partner events. I think over time when we get more certainty on our roadmap and velocity we'll be more open about it, but not for now.
5. Record type seems to be possibly the best way to handle this. I don't know of any restrictions that would prevent you from doing this.
