I spend many hours working on Salesforce Trailhead, admin tasks, and development work. I’m thinking about using a gaming mouse or advanced tool to improve productivity and comfort.
I would like to know:
- Are gaming mice useful for Salesforce admin/developer work?
- Which features are most helpful (extra buttons, macros, DPI control, ergonomic design)?
- Does anyone have personal recommendations that work well with Salesforce tools?

A good gaming mouse can actually help a lot with Salesforce admin and development work. The main benefit is the extra programmable buttons and customization. You can map shortcuts like copy/paste, switching browser tabs, opening Dev Console, saving in VS Code, or even common Salesforce navigation steps to side buttons, which really speeds things up during long Trailhead or config sessions. DPI control is helpful if you use multiple monitors, and ergonomic design is super important if you’re working 6–8+ hours daily because it reduces wrist strain. Personally, I like the Logitech MX Master series for Salesforce work, but if you prefer more buttons and deeper macro control, something like a Logitech G502 or Razer Basilisk works great too.Hope this helps!
