Setting up a Contact data layer in SF Maps. Doing test work in a lower environment, but I see the same issues in production. There's a discrepancy in the number of markers displayed using the data layer and the records supposedly available. (Expecting more than to 20,000, but only 5,000 are mapped).

We have more than 70,000 contact records in our environment that match the criteria I used for the data layer.

Do Base Object in Salesforce Maps enforce a limit on the number of markers displayed?

Hey @Jeremy Taylor, this is controlled at the Maps Permission Group level, in the bottom left side of your screenshot. The setting is called "Maximum Records to Plot" and our recommended max is 50,000. Keep in mind that the more markers you plot, the more performance is impacted based on machine and network speeds. So may be worth playing around with the setting to find the best max for you and your users. Hope this helps!

PS: make sure you have the Maps admin permission set to save changes to permission groups, and also note that the default permission group cannot be edited, so if you don't have a custom one you will need to create it and assign it to your user / profile.
