I have a connection to GA4 using Tableau Prep. the connector works fine, however, EVERYTIME I need to run the data again, I have to reconnect the connector and re choose all of the fields. Is there a way to resolve this?

I don't think there is a solution from Tableau Prep. Your best option may be to connect to GA4 in Tableau Desktop, and then pubish a datasource to Tableau Cloud/Server (set a refresh schedule). Finally, then connect your flow to the published data source.
