Hi Community, I'm new to Tableau and have a question about weighting the survey data. Here is my data set up:
rows: respondents
columns: response to each survey question
I'd like to use the weighted data (using a pre-defined 'WEIGHT' column) in all my analysis.
I used [FIELD NAME]*[WEIGHT] to weight the 'Numbe of Records' for frequency analysis but for all other calculations, plots, maps, etc, do i need to create the weighted version of the data and work with them?

I just wanted to make sure if there was an automated way of weighting data. Somebody else also raised the same question (just copied the question here):
"Survey data often come with weights that need to be applied to all calculations to accurately reflect results for the population of interest. Statistical packages, such as SPSS or SAS, allow you to easier weight the data in a table - making all subsequent calculation take the weight variable into account. This is not the case currently in Tableau. Could it be in the future?"
