I am getting an error when uploading a workbook (twb) to a server/site. The error indicates the datasource could not be found. This workbook was downloaded from a different tableau server. Both servers/sites have the same published data sources, which this workbook should be using. Is it possible to download a workbook from one server and then upload it to a different server and site, and expect it to work?

Hi, It will not work, because the workbook has the URL and site name of where it was before. But, not all are bad news. You could open the workbook, edit the connection and connect it to the destination Tableau Server.
If the published datasource is the same, it will work without a problem. Finally save your workbook and publish to the destination server.
