Hello I am Sam and I have just joined the group as I am moving to NZ in November. I am moving to Wellington, but as this is the only user group listed in NZ I thought it would be a good place to start.
I am currently working for the NHS (national health service) in North Wales, producing reports on pharmacy data using Tableau. I am curious to learn what industries are currenly using Tableau and how it is viewed against its competitors.

Hey Sam, welcome to the best country in the world! I hail from Sheffield, so we've a few things in common; hills, **** weather, lousy accents...haha!
You'll find that Wellington is a heavy hitter for government agencies, and tableau should be well embedded. That and SAS. Banking also is getting into the tableau era, though mostly you'll find that they're more Auckland based (with Wellywood being their operational/back office delivery centres for technology etc.)
