I'm building a workbook in 2019.1 that is driven by a Hyper extract. I've read that you can't 'export as previous version' when using a hyper extract, but the option seems fine for me when I try to downgrade to 2018.1.
The reason I'm downgrading is that the client's server is 2018.1.
Is there anything I'm missing or am I all good?

This should work fine as long as you aren't using any features that have been introduced after 2018.1. I believe the problem you're hearing about relates to when you export as a version prior to 10.5 (when Hyper was introduced). In that case, it can be problematic because the extract uses TDE.
