A big thanks to all the attendees who showed up to Seattle Higher Ed TUG 2! We had a wonderful time hosting the event, getting to know each other a little (albeit briefly), seeing new capabilities and hopefully learning a few skills to put into practice, and eating of course. An extra thanks for laughing (on the inside) at my jokes.
Stay tuned for the next event - we're shooting for Q1 2020, so put that on the shelf! We'd love to hear what topics are of interest to the group, so please post or reach out so we can tailor the content to the group's needs.
I have a few items I'll provide shortly - the training slides (I'll remove my banter), and a random sampled version of the workbook we went over so you can review the concepts. That said, you'll almost assuredly fine more straight forward, better written, applicable examples on the internet. Still I'm happy to oblige. Lastly, I'll create another post explaining how to perform the hierarchical drill-down with rolled up member counts.
In case you missed today's session, the short version: interactivity is the future, end user proficiency is the future, and the possibilities for empowering them are just beginning to take shape. It's an exciting time in data, and I'm glad we're on the journey together! We'll look forward to seeing you next time!
Last but not least, a huge thanks to Coleman Wagoner for his presentation on new features, Rasta Ghafouri for support hosting and logistics, all the fine folks at Tableau for letting us use their space, and Seattle Pacific University for supporting this user group initiative.
Until then, viz early, viz often!
