Hello! I am trying to figure out what I imagine should be a simple fix --- how do I get a linear graph to connect data points with a line although there may be gaps in data?

some of my data is monthly, and some quarterly, In a linear graph, the monthly data is depicted with a connecting line, however, the quarterly data (with months skipped) are not.
