New-ish solo Admin here. Our org is less than 2 years old and we are still tweaking functionality. There has been a request to add the "Google map addresses" for additional addresses that an Account may have. We have a Custom Object already called Additional Addresses that we are not using as originally intended. I'm thinking of turning on this functionality and using it on this custom object instead of the text boxes.

I've read the limitations documentation but as a relatively unexperienced salesforce person, I'm not sure there's anything in there that really dampers what we're doing. Can anyone speak to real life situations where this functionality has been turned on and it's caused an issue? I'm a bit gun shy but getting pressure from the higher ups. Thank you!

    @Matt Kelly

    I ended up enabling it in a Sandbox and then testing to see if our backup could "override" the setting which it could not. Refreshing the entire sandbox from prod was the only was to go back so to speak. The maps for the added additional addresses would not show in a list view so the users would have a lot of clicking to do to actually see the maps. In the end we decided it wasn't worth the hassle because we didn't really get any benefits from it.

    We are making use of our custom Additional Address object. Essentially this just let's users make more than one "address" and they're related to the Account. This has been helpful for customers with multiple locations. No map but useful for generated forms and such.
