We have a requirement like this: There should be a button on Opportunity page and once end user clicks on the button, it should open a page which should auto populates some of the information from the opportunity record and some of the blank fields where other departments are going to fill once end user clicks Send. So, some information is pre populated and some sections should be in editable mode and end user should be able to edit the information before sending it to the next group. I believe it is a visualforce page, and this page should go as PDF or Worddoc. Because once the other department receives the attachment they should be able to fill some other information. How to achieve this? I believe it is a VisualForce page and render as PDF but the problem is other department who receives the PDF should have proper access levels to edit the PDF doc. Please correct me if I am wrong or what is the best approach to do this?

We have a requirement like this: On an Opportunity page there should be a button, when the opportunity owner clicks on the button, it opens a page that auto-populated with some information from the opportunity record and some information will be filled by the opp owner and some fields will be left blank for other departments to fill in.  The page should be in editable mode, allowing the opp owner to make changes before sending it to the next group and once the next group receives the file they need to input some information in the file. I know this can be achieved using a VisualForce page that can be rendered as a PDF or doc file. However, the challenge is ensuring that the other department receiving the attachment has proper access levels to edit the PDF document. Please let me know if my understanding is correct, or if there is a better approach to accomplish this. Is it possible to render VisualForce page as a Doc file because everyone across company will have MS Office edit mode unlike PDF.
