Hello Trailblazer community,

 

Our company uses an ERP software called INXSQL. Due to some limitations with our ERP, we started using Salesforce about a year and a half ago in tandem with our ERP to take advantage of the tracking, reporting, and dashboard capabilities salesforce has to offer. It has been a game changer.  

 

What we are trying to solve: We are looking for the correct API we need to use to update our REV/GP fields for closed (Won) opportunities in Salesforce to match the REV/GP of the corresponding sales order in our ERP system. There are instances where REV/GP may change once an order is entered in our ERP system and we are trying to eliminate the manual process of having to update this information in both platforms. 

 

Our ERP is still where most of our post sale business activities take place, so we will be pulling the REV/GP numbers from there into salesforce as it will be most accurate. 

 

We are working with a developer who works for INXSQL to carry out the automation/integration but he is unsure which API he needs to use from the list of API's Salesforce has published below and has put the ball back in our court (They have never integrated with salesforce before)

Would anyone be able to advise on which API would work for this?

    ​​@Munagala Raghunathreddy same as previous... Im sure with all best intentions, yet I struggle to understand the reasoning of such answers,

    - removes them within a couple of days from the list of questions not looked after,

    - reduces the access and diversity for the community to be able to chip in,

    - generates feeditems entries with no value response (data volume and energy consumption)

    etc

    I wonder which other process would be most helpful to tackle the aim without the unintended consequences
