On Opportunity object we were having more than 200+ fields. We planned to remove some fields which are not being used (anywhere in flows, triggers, formulas, etc). As a first step we have removed Field level security for all profiles except Sys Admin. When business users tried to open an opp record which is in closed won state, they see this error messages (see attached screenshots) and not able to view any data on the page. Can someone suggest please how to check this further?
Hey @harish Ravi, as you removed the FLS for all profiles on Opportunity object, how are you expecting them to not see this error?
You have to provide them FLS over the necessary fields to see the data.
If you are planning to reduce the number of fields. you can try out the Field Trip app. This app actually provides you the percentage of your field usage on an object and you can use that to track which fields have the least usage or are not in use and ultimately remove that from the system.
