I remember last time I checked Salesforce CMS, it was very limited in terms of records we can create, and then pricing was quite expensive. Looking at the website today (https://www.salesforce.com/editions-pricing/cms/) it looks like it's now free and unlimited as soon as we have Experience Cloud licenses, am I understanding this correctly ?

Salesforce CMS is now included with every Salesforce Org Edition (ex: UE, EE, etc) and limits are purely based on Org-level entitlements (ex: File Storage for CMS Media). It no longer requires the purchase of an Experience Cloud license, but of course still remains natively integrated w/ Experience Cloud.
