Account ID in Reports vs Account ID in the URL

Greetings.  I noticed that the Account ID in a Salesforce report differs from the associated ID in the URL of the same Account.  For example:

          Account ID per Report:      xxxxx00002nkxNF

          Account ID per URL:           xxxxx00002nkxNFAAY

If I make updates to Salesforce via Data Loader from a Report with the Account ID, will this shortened ID match what is in Salesforce to make the updates?
