I have a question about the "notify user" option in an engagement studio in pardot (MAE). In our instance we enabled the user sync. I already had an existing user in Salesforce which I was using for notify user option in Pardot. Now this user was deleted. Now I was wondering if I create a user, but do not use an existing user in Salesforce and just a different email address (but I get the error message that the CRM user name is not existing in Salesforce, ut i can save the user) this option is still working and notifying or not and i do need to create a salesforce user first which is then syncing with the pardot user? Very happy for any support and help on this. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Janna,

     

    Please create the user in CRM then add the newly created user to the marketing/sales setup of the business unit, it will automatically create the user record in Pardot then you can use that record in notify user action.
