Apex Class not showing any error and not working as well

Hi Trailblazers, 

Need help with code below, the code is not giving error but also not changing updating the values the vales as well on the record based on the condition. It worked initially but then stopped working.

Requirement:

Based on the picklist value of 

Prior_Qualification__c

value of 

Enrolment_Progression__c 

should change. 

code below:

        List<Contact> contactList =[SELECT Id ,Prior_Qualification__c FROM Contact];
        for(Contact conList : contactList ){
            if (conList.Prior_Qualification__c == 'Below Tertiary'){
                conList.Enrolment_Progression__c = 'Advanced';
                updatedConList.add(conList);               
            }
            else if(conList.Prior_Qualification__c ==   'Tertiary Graduate'){
                conlist.Enrolment_Progression__c    =   'Ultimate';
                updatedConList.add(conList); 
            }
            else if(conList.Prior_Qualification__c ==   'Tertiary  Post-Graduate'){

 Would appreciate your suggestions solving this.
