Nonprofit Cloud Case Management Winter '22 Release Notes

Case Management 1.31 will begin pushing to production orgs overnight on Tuesday November 16. Please look for this version in your org over the next couple of days.

Changes

  • Use the power of Experience Cloud to create a client portal that helps clients stay on track and continue making progress on their goals. The homepage is a one-stop-shop for your clients and can be created simply by dragging and dropping standard and custom components onto the page in Experience Builder. The page can include action items and case plan progress to help clients stay on track, editor and feed components that let them post comments, and a My Team component that lists the people they are working with. You can also have a Case Plan page that displays all the client's goals and action items, and an action item page that provides more information about each action item to the client, giving them an opportunity to share updates and post comments. Check out all the details in Case Management with Experience Cloud.
  • Learn more about your clients with less clicks and in less time. We added a Client Note History tab to the Contact record so that you can easily review the full text of all Client Notes in one place, allowing you to quickly get up to speed on a client. You can narrow down the notes you're looking for by choosing a date range or filtering by Program Engagement, Record Type, and who created the note. Learn more in Take Client Notes.
  • You can now create validation rules on the fields in Client Notes UI. This lets you do things like create locking for your notes, which prevents them from being modified or accidentally overwritten. After you set up a validation rule, which is easier than it sounds (just make sure you choose to display your error at the top of the page), notes with the Draft set to inactive can’t be edited. Spot a typo or need to make an update? Just set Draft back to active. Get more info on locking in Take Client Notes.
  • When scheduling or logging Services, you can now add participants who don’t yet have Program Engagements. For example, if you are using Bulk Service Deliveries to record services for a drop-in service and a participant shows up that hasn't already enrolled, now you can easily create a Program Engagement (and Contact, if needed) for them without leaving your workflow. Just click the New button on the same screen where you select other participants. This new feature is available in Bulk Service Deliveries, as you create new Service Schedules, and from the “Add More Participants” button on Service Schedules. For more information, see Work with Services. The available fields for creating new Program Engagements and new Contacts using this feature are controlled by field sets. For information on updating the field set, see Customize Creating Program Engagements from Bulk Service Deliveries.
