Hi! Is there a way to set up restrictions based on product family?
For example, only my retail users can see the products in the Retail product family? Therefore, when they are adding products to their opportunity, they can only access the retail products.

We can start by looking at OWD of Catalog object in the instance. Ensure it is "No access". Catalog will contain products that we can add to opportunity.
So that.. we can define sharing for every catalog we define. For instance, we can have a Retail Catalog where we can define sharing to only have Retail users access it. Like that we can do for other types of Catalogs. Your ask is possible with this approach. Thanks.
