Often times when I make new users, I forget that I have to assign them certain folder permissions too, especially for reports. When new users don't have these permissions, they go to the reports the dashboards use and are locked out because they don't have folder permissions.
I have a role that was grandfathered into our SF environment that I assign everyone. Would it be easier to assign everyone this new role and give View access to the Report folder? More importantly, would giving this Role only View access take precedence over individual User permissions like Edit and Manage?

Manoj Nambirajan (Dell Technologies)Folder based permissions does preside unless you give permission at profile like "Manage Reports in Public Folders". Otherwise.. defining the Role in the Report Folder sharing and assigning users to those Roles will help and indirectly automate report/dashboard visibility
