I have a quick question, I am wanting to allow users to manually share accounts but it seems that users in the same role aren't able to share accounts that aren't owned by them. One workaround I had was to give a permission set to the group of users to allow them full access of all accounts to allow sharing. However, I am not wanting to give that much access.
How can I allow users in the same role to be able to manually

Since they are just being shared amongst users in the same role, have you considered going the role hierarchy route?
Would certainly be more secure than granting view all permissions!!
